This duty/combat oriented service package is for a customer provided Ruger Security Six/GP100 revolver. This can also be completed for stainless steel Smith and Wesson/Colt revolvers upon approval, please contact us. We believe the Security Six/GP100 revolvers are best suited for this service due to the build/durability of the side plate-less frame.
The revolver is completely disassembled, cleaned, and inspected. The frame, trigger guard, barrel, crane, hammer, trigger, and ejector rod are media blasted to a low glare, matte finish. (See below for update on PVD finish transition) Cylinder chambers are honed to ensure smooth ejection. All trigger components are stoned/polished at their contact points to provide a smoother pull. A Wolff reduced power mainspring/trigger return spring set is installed. The hammer, hammer dog, and trigger are shimmed to center as close as possible. This reduces side to side play and aids in a more consistent trigger pull. It also reduces hammer/trigger to frame drag marks commonly seen on revolvers. Cylinder endshake will be corrected to .002" - .004" with shims as well, if necessary. The front and rear sights are replaced with Meprolight Tru-Dot tritium night sights. A Texas Grips (no finger grooves) checkered walnut grip rounds out this package for the Security Six's. GP100's have a Hogue (no finger grooves) checkered rosewood grip installed.
**The finish is currently transitioning to matte black PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition). This also includes the hammer, trigger, and magazine release. Photos coming soon.**
These modifications make your wheel gun ready to go in any situation.
